Navy Pier's Really Big Halloween Party

The wife and I went to Navy Pier, an always nice place to go to, to witness one of the most fun halloween event: the Really Big Halloween Party. We witnessed the costume contest - adult category, witnessed a monster in a tutu, watched a concert, and watched kids enjoying dressing up as their favorite character; or ghoul. :)

It was also a good opportunity to review and try out a new camera and a new camera bag...

Reina Reyes' Talk at the Fiesta Atenista in Las Vegas

Last October 18-21, 2012, some of the alumni of one of the premiere universities in the Philippines, the Ateneo University, held an international convention in Las Vegas at the Riviera Hotel. The wife and I were very fortunate enough to attend this wonderful gathering. We greatly enjoyed having the opportunity to attend talks, socials and to be able to make new friends.

The wife, herself, gave a talk entitled: The Birth and Death of the Milky Way.

It was also a nice opportunity to make new friends and see old, familiar faces.
