The wife and I spent a day at the C2E2, the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo. There were a lot of talks, autograph signings, merchandise for sale, and a lot of CosPlayers! These are my photos of the event.
Now I don't know if the couple here are Cosplaying or the actually came from their wedding... Who cares?!? As long as everyone was having fun, right? :)
I felt safer knowing Robin, and Batman hidden behind, were on duty.
As well as Felicia Day!
I even got a couple of toys, now named as Henry VIII and Robbie respectively!
The wife and I had a great time, so we are looking forward to the next one!
For this event, I brought two cameras: a Canon 5D Mark II with the Canon 70-200 f/4L IS USM and the Canon Powershot G15. I used the DSLR for most of my shots - I don't like "in-your-face" photography so the telephoto helped here a lot. But for tight spaces, or simply when my subject is near me, then I use the powershot. I keep the powershot in the pocket of my legpant. This set up was actually inspired by Derrick Story. So, I decided to replicate what he did. I even used the same line of Lowepro bag! :)
